Time for a change of blogskin. Blue grey and white..what a neat colour combi rightttt:)
so anyway,i shall stay hopeful for the coming year and accomplish my 9 listed resolutions(though key and tianyou conveniently added 2 for me..but nope nope, not counted:p)
And i suddenly remember that few years back, i was still using my fave line at the end of the yr. "Happy New Year, Pull Your Ear".
Gosh, how time flies and i think ive since grown a lot since then-sideways, upwards but definitely more mature too:D
AHHHHHHH today's the last day of 2006, so anyway have a happy&blessed 2007, my dear friends..

haha trevor brought so much fun and joy to my friends in hall:)) im really glad to have him around for these few days.
so the year's coming to an end and there's so much to reflect upon for the past year but i think ive acheived miminal hence before the new year begins, i shall make some resolutions and ill check back on 31st dec '07. The resolutions to be made are probably unaccomplished in 2006 so let's hope for a better year ahead..
*drumrolls*
My 2007 resolutions:
1) to draw closer to God and be consistent in my QT
2) to raise my pathetic cap score and do well in my core modules
3) to read @least 2 books per month
4) to lose some weight(5kg would be good haha)
5) to call home more
6) to be a better and dependable friend
7) to take part in more marathons
8) to get my license(i was at the last subject alr and i havent gone driving for months. argh)
8) to not do things half heartedly(this is impt)

i think that's all..i mean, it will be good enough if i can acheive all these. Well we shall see..

Christ was born on xmas day:))
The past few days have gone by real quickly. Lets recall- hong's party, yiwen&shiping's party, church, dinner with april, out with ty, dinner and chilling out with wyman&joanne, dinner with qy, arif and zes, stayed home for steamboat dinner and xmas countdown at orchard..
Its been enjoyable as i get to spend it with the important few of my life. Well, family xmas dinner was a quiet affair this year and we had steamboat at home for xmas eve dinner. It was simple but it felt more cosy. And my mum bought me a watch for my xmas present and it came as a huge surprise to me because this was the first time she has ever bought me something for xmas. I think ill treasure it alot.
Orchard was too packed last night and it didnt help that rowdy youngsters were flooding the streets with foam from their snow spray. Cheapthrillcheapthrill. But after a while, it was quite fun getting sprayed and soapy:)
Trainings resume tomorrow. argh. And trevor is here to stay with me for 5 days. Hope he doesnt get too bored and lonely:(
Many random thoughts clouding my mind now..my oh my why do i feel so puzzled?

the sky has been overcast the past few days, raining elephants and buffaloes.
i jus love the rain. but ironically, rain does make me sad in some unknown ways. It makes me think alot and sometimes, i just get really moody.
i love the chilly feeling that the weather brings. It makes you want to stay indoors and be all cosy under the thick warm blanket.
anyway im so not done with xmas shopping..been busy with trainings and just today alone, i had 3 trgs! since it has been raining the past few days, lets jus hope it wont wash away the christmas atmostphere..xmas is a joyous occasion! wellwell, anyway im really looking forward to the dinner with my dearest jc pals! just waiting for zes to get ready and off we go:)
the new year is fast approaching and its once again the time to set new resolutions, though they are seldom met. sigh.so my biggest resolution for 2007 shall be to materialise all my other resolutions! perhaps ill list em down here soon.
ihg is coming too and i feel im not fit enough. Hope it will be a good season for TH.
alright. logging off:)

well apparently, the results leaked last night! And i managed to view mine(the site is down today!!) and once again, my cap went down by 0.2 ..i guess if thats my actual results im pretty satisfied with it as i have really low expectations this sem..my grades were in a range of A-B-C. Got a C for my macro which was quite expected...ill just try to work harder next semester if i want to go for honours and i hope hall commitments would be much lighter by then. I think ive overload myself with too many positions this sem but ill give my best anyway:)

I have trained the past week away-handball bball netball and each has 3 training days per week. And its only a week's training and ive bad muscles strains and aches already.eek
It was wyman's social night yesterday. And it was quite an eye opener and i met candice who was my long lost primary sch bestfriend! We caught up quite a bit!! And wyman's lucky; he took the draw no for me and i won the 2nd prize creative zen! And he didnt go home empty handed as he received a even more prestigious award!!
Im looking forward to key's planned bbq party. It costs $25 and according to her, it will be a seafood bbq so it better be good nehbud!!!!

some long overdue pictures:::
he calls me a cookie monster and i think im really one, just hidden in a human body..

CABLE SKIING DAY

This morning before we headed for cableskiing, we went to ecp hawker for breakfast. The place was rather empty until the big group of us filled the place with matter and noise. There was only one stall which was opened(there was this old man mending this particular wanton mee stall. )Anyway, some of them got their orders real fast and found seats almost immediately to fill their already famished stomachs with the yummy looking wanton mee.The rest of us gave our orders, stood in the queue and spent the rest of the waiting time chit-chating away, all excited and in anticipation bout the day's events. Then, all of a sudden and as we least expected, the old man let out a yell and before we knew it, he collapsed to the ground with a loud thud. ( I happened to be there to witness him struggle a bit before he landed on the ground and succumbed to darkness). I shivered and remained rooted to the spot till i realised the situation was quite bad and i moved away from the sight of the old man who was then lying on the floor of his stall, absolutely unconscious. Some of the guys plucked their courage and tried to revive the old man. Brave whelan tried to do mouth-mouth cpr on the man and the others tried to feel his heartbeat(which apparently had stopped after a while). The rest of us jus stayed outside the stall, constantly taking peeps of the stall to check if things were improving. But somehow, it doesnt seem so because the old man's face jus started to turn purple. I never came so close to witnessing something like that before. I felt really helpless then but also really afraid at the same time. Anyway, the guys continued to be by his side until the ambulance came, which we felt, was a tad too late(hello?? it took em around 20mins to get to the place). We watched closely as the paramedics put him on the stretcher and rushed him into the ambulance. And then the siren was heard as the sight of the ambulance gradually diminished.
Talked to isabelle who said she prayed hard for the old man. True enough, in times like this, humans are beyond control of the situation. only God.
Like ive always said, life is fragile and vulnerable. Who knows what may happen the next minute? I love my family and friends so much so please stay close and lets treasure whatever we have now.

hello! :)Havent been updating because ive been busy going out! The coming weeks would be even more hectic with the start of ihg trainings. I have been going out a lot lately, in fact everyday in the past week since exams ended-half marathon with jan, ktving with ty key max stace, out with key to chinatown, out with ty to vivocity and town, bugis and city hall area with alison, blading with jan... And since ive conquered most of shopping areas, its of no surprise that ive burnt a big hole in my pocket and my savings are fast depleting. argh! And thats why ive been desperately looking for tuition jobs online but ive yet to find a suitable one.
Im still really stressed over finding a coach for the team. Replies have been negative and its just absolutely demoralising considering there are only a few days left to the first training. Okay im jus praying hard the guys would be able to coach the team...please please.
And im quite sure i wouldnt be staying in hall after next semester. Life can get pretty mundane after a while; like being too absorbed into hall stuff and leaving me absolutely clueless about the world outside. Its as if the world revolves around hall and nothing else. I miss meeting up with my friends outside and i miss home at times. But i know for sure, ill miss living in close proximity to my dear friends in hall and having their lovely company 24/7. If im home and if i get my license, perhaps my parents will let me drive to school. And i can take care of little trevor. And i can have so much more time to God, myself and my loved ones. And i can eat home cooked food and live in the comfort of my cosy room. AHH theres always the good and the bad side and so we shall see...
Anyway i brought home ty's laptop(thanks dear!) cos my lappy died on me. big fat damn. And now i dont know what i should do and i dont even know whether there is a dell service centre in sg. argh. anyone knows?
I received my first christmas card yesterday, all the way from Western Australia. Thanks Lindy!!! Its always nice to be remembered, especially during the season of love:) and even more so from a dear friend faraway.
Ive pigging out a lot and i think ill go for a run later. And ill bring little trevor out for a nice walk. Then its lunch with ty and ill hit the fashion bazaar with alison later. And dinner with my family. Thats my itinery for today.
i cant wait for xmas...

I finished the 21.1km race today!! Though my timing's really pathetic;i clocked a total of 2h 41mins. haha but i went to the toliet twice and stopped by waterpoints 7 times and i walked this stretch cos i was having cramps in my legs. Still, im gladddd i completed it and i aim to improve my timing next year!! Jan ran really well; she has superb stamina for a non xcty runner..great job girl!!!!!!! Anyway, i was on the verge of giving up at the 18km mark. Gawd!! The last 2km felt like eternity and it was long before the finishing line was within sight. Thank God i persevered. It was sure an accomplishment, ill be back next year:)
So anyway some runners put this tag on their backs and it consists of their reasons for joining the race. There was like "DIET" , "cos chics dig in marathon runners", "for the laksa at the end of the race", "you didnt pay to come here to walk", and this other woman who was running at an uber slow speed had this picture of a turtle. haha..so during the race, i was quite entertained checking out their silly tags.
And now, im just lazing in my bed, resting my body aches and ive got bad muscle pains at my calves. Well, its nice to do nothing at times and just relax and have no worries in mind.

hello. whats up with the new blogger??? can anyone enlighten me with the new features??
anyways..the run is tomorrow!! And if i complete it, it will be the longest dist i ever ran in a day. Hope ill survive it, its been the longest time since i last exercised. Told you, this exam period was bad. With so many deadlines to meet jus a week before exams started, with shallow preparation for the papers, and having them all cramped within a week plus a lack of exercise and too much reliance on myself and not God, everything just sucked for me. Im depressed:(
But im looking forward to this week. Many shopping trips to look forward to though im so extremely broke. Oh yes! if anyone is kind enough to introduce me to any tuition jobs, it will be good:)
im going to do some online shopping now..

exams are over for me. But it didnt end off with a good note cos for my last paper(which is also my worst module), i made a real careless mistake which cost me 40marks. Shit happens when you jump into doing a question, assuming you understand it completely and is certain of getting full marks for it. gosh. and sighh. It was just so bad and well........too bad for me:(
This sem's exams' been really really horrible. Nasty nasty. I think it will screw my whole cap, like totally. Shall just hope for the best huh.
Its times like this when i feel so lousy about myself and my confidence hit rock bottom.
Okay...on a brighter note, exams have ended and it means that the december hols' here..
I love december, and i guess it has largely got to do with christmas. I love everything about xmas-from church celebration to carols to prayers to hymns to xmas lightings to nice xmas dinners to everything red green silver and joyous. my arms are wide open to welcome this favourite season of mine!
More happy thoughts please.
